2008 BUSMVA REUNION Itinerary

 While at The Reunion

Dancing Bear Club

Dancing Bear hours:  TBA   We will not be allowed to bring our personal alcoholic beverages nor food to the Dancing Bear Room. There will be a bartender in the room at certain hours.

 Activities and Tours

Welcome dinner will be causal dress.  Farewell dinner will be tuxes, business suit, or jacket and tie. Remember to wear the medals that you have earned in memory of all the Veterans.

 For people who need assistance:

1) We will have one bus with a lift for people who need assistance.

2) Trip to the Winery - There may be a few steps to climb on the tour.

3) Trip to the coast - The Seal Lion Cave: There will be steps from the Welcome Center to outside, then there will be a small grade down to the elevator, then more steps where you get off the elevator to the cave. Steps in both cases are about two small flights. Coming back up the hill maybe a little tiring, but there are benches to rest. The grade is about 100 yards. I did see a number of elderly people walk up the hill. It really is not that difficult, but you may want to think about it if you need assistance.  Please remember to bring a windbreaker and light gloves when we go to the coast.

I highly recommend all the tours for the membership. On your free time I suggest that if you do not have a vehicle, rent a car and take in the scenery around Eugene. You may even want to rent a bicycle and see the city. We will have some brochures for you at the reunion.

Eugene has an airport with direct flights from: Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Medford, Phoenix, Portland, Redmond, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle.
